The members of the San Jose Auxiliary to Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford University Medical Center are pleased that you are considering membership in our organization.

The San Jose Auxiliary, founded in 1942, is one of seven auxiliaries in the Bay Area that contributes to the support of the hospital. We are an all-volunteer organization of approximately 200 active members and about 100 members in other classifications. We raise funds by selling new and nearly new items at our shop, The Thrift Box, on Lincoln Avenue in Willow Glen. In addition, we have an annual fundraising and two special events, Best of the Box, at which we sell some of our more special and unique items. All proceeds from the shop, fundraising, and events go to the hospital to provide medical care for underserved children in Santa Clara County and to fund other special projects at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford.

The Thrift Box, as well as the Auxiliary fundraisers and activities, relies completely on the vigorous efforts and the conscientious commitment of its volunteer members to be successful. All of our efforts go toward promoting, fostering, and maintaining the welfare of children through the operation of the hospital.
